The focus of this book is to facilitate spiritual healing through recognition of internal power over self defeating behavior. Skills are offered to neutralize the negativity that interferes with healthy communication. The reader will learn how to tap into positive energy to maintain focus. The goal is to empower you to take control of your life. Exposure to positive and negative forces unseen serves to awaken/focus or manipulate/confuse the inner spirit (light of the Divine Creator). Mastery of essential tools defines the internal experience. We are all engaged at one point or another. Success brings us to the next stage of our continuing journey, serving to raise us to higher levels of awareness. As we accept responsibility for sharpening our own focus, we redefine and come to a greater understanding of what motivates as well as what inhibits us. In doing so, we become an island of calm for ourselves and others – immune to illusion. The promise of this book is to help you to embrace the greatness within yourself.
" . . . What entity might orchestrate this popular new focus on externals that distract from the lessons to be learned? What are the pros and cons to the Internet age of websites, FaceBook, LinkedIn and all the computer technologies that reduce people to magazine pages to be read and flipped through with or without their knowledge? We have ‘contact’ lists – and indeed we do keep in contact – but is this in lieu of communication, or enhancing it? While it opens doors and opportunities when used wisely, what (if any) price is paid for life ‘online’? Has our sense of value shifted from the wisdom of elders to the technological savvy of the young? In the 19th century, the older generation was the source of guidance and advice sought by the youth. In the 21st century, does it seem that “wisdom” of the aged has been usurped? What do we associate with the elders these days? Wisdom or dementia? Has the value of life experience been neutralized? If so, by what source? You, the reader, must determine where you are in this process. What/who do you value and why? The authors’ opinions will become apparent as chapters progress. Accepting Shakespeare’s adage, “there’s nothing new under the Sun,” the reader might recognize a parallel between parts of this text and the discussion about knowledge documented in Plato’s Republic. Here we refer specifically to the Sun the Line and the Cave analogy. At the end of this book we will return to the distant past by offering four tales (short stories) to be read on a variety of levels, simultaneously. These short stories will facilitate understanding of what will now be discussed as we begin our book. Now let's explore two of the greatest lies ever told."
