Allison lives in northwest Ohio near the banks of the State Scenic Maumee River along with her parents and two pesky younger brothers. Bald Eagles have established nesting locations throughout the length of the Maumee River Valley and can occasionally be spotted soaring over the author’s home. The rural landscape has kindled her love of animals, nature, and the outdoors. Allison loves to read and is especially partial to the classic novels of the 19th century. She also enjoys music and playing her clarinet. She wrote Ernie the Eagle and the Mysterious Grrrr! as a bedtime story for her baby brother when she was only twelve. Becky Shepard is an established professional artist/muralist/graphic designer.
