It is an admirable collection of inspirational poems/stories that share the inter-most thoughts of a person. As the exercises in this book are read, take a deep inventory of past and present social concerns and witness an astounding outcome!

"EVERYONE HAS A PAST THAT INCLUDES GOOD AND BAD MEMORIES. WE EXPERIENCE AND LEARN SECRETS RELATING TO THOSE DARK REFLECTIONS OF OUR LIVES. WE DON'T REALIZE THE DANGER OF OUR PAST UNTIL WE CHOOSE TO RESIDE THERE MENTALLY IN THE PRESENT"

RELATIONSHIPS-- IT BEGINS & ENDS WITH YOU

Therapeutic Poetry for the Soul

Many times in life we all have a down time where nothing goes right for us. Things we have accomplished in the past and even in the present seem unrewarding. We try to figure out what went wrong, who to blame, or where to point the finger. Looking and searching for an answer externally but finding no clues, then becoming conscience of the loss of reality within, we find the need to check ourselves internally. Fear and denial may surface, but it is not the time to give in. The first step toward reality is admitting that there is a problem then having the courage to face the unknown.

If you are honest, truthful, and real with yourself the following readings can give you inspiration in healing those deep internal hurts and pains. Your life right now may be like a jigsaw puzzle and inwardly you are trying to put the pieces back together. These wounds whether internally or externally inflicted, if never having the proper therapy to heal will affect the present character and behavior traits in your life.

Please search your own heart--committing reality and truth ahead of self-pride. As you read each poem you may initially experience some degree of anger, resentment, denial, or frustration; nevertheless, these therapeutic poems will ultimately carry you to a place of solitude to meet the real you face to face! I humbly suggest you give yourself an honest chance to break those strongholds and discover the real you. Release and let go because you owe it to yourself and others.

What People Had to Say

We are not perfect; we make mistakes everyday

Many times we can't go on because of what people had to say

We'll isolate ourselves from people and within

Because of what people had to say we lose family and sometimes friends

People you love will judge you as you strive to find a way

Resentment and anger becomes your friend because of what people had to say

Now you are living a lie, the real you has disappeared

Because what people had to say your hurt continues through the years

If courage is all you need or a god who hears you when you pray

Help me overcome this Fear of What People Had to Say

How Can You Tell Me?

How can you tell me --someone like you --that my problems will be fine?

Have you walked in my shoes, taken time to know me, or visited the secrets in my mind?

How can you tell me to embrace the good, forgive others, and then forget the bad?

As a child I was abused, did you know that? I asked my mother, "Who and where is my dad?"

How can you tell me that God is good and on Sunday that same God is so great?

Hearing those words spoken to me but overheard when I was born it was a mistake

How can you tell me to stay in school, ask questions, and pursue a good education?

My environment was hell inside and out; you didn't know my daily situation

How can you tell me when I allowed this old world to poison me inside

With deception, excuses, anger, and hurt, unkept promises plus all the lies.

How can you tell me at the end of the day I'm making progress and achieving my goals?

My attitude stinks, I can't trust anymore, I'm bitter deep in my soul

How can you tell me to obey the golden rule, be honest, and also be real?
