In this vision-story of a past life, a young girl came to a small mountain village in China in the far distant past. Tseliki lived as a simple peasant-servant, and in pursuit of a singular passion: skating. In the process, she seduced the town and its people to her ways of being human and compassionate. She sought to impose upon or change no one, but change, they did. Her village became a haven of non-war, sharing and caring for each other and their neighbors. This is her quiet story. Daughter of the Frost is also a love sonnet to god: a story of a peaceful vision and the possibilities that exist within our own visions of reality. It is delivered at a time when we believe ourselves to be far from a heaven-on-earth. It is to remind us that ‘on earth, as it is in heaven’ is the destiny that is simply the cumulated result -the consequence- of each life lived one moment at a time- of one kind action and thought at a time, one after another, in the moment of now. We may think that God is not so close, but perhaps it is not that God has not spoken to us lately, as much as we have listened too much to those who claim to be gods' representatives and have not placed our own ear upon the breast of the god/goddess, listening intimately to her heartbeat within whispering truth and joy into our soul. Have we forgotten how to listen to god? For the time to listen is here. And her message is simply that heaven-on-earth is not that far-distant or impossible as we may have been led to believe. My religion is kindness. The Dalai Lama This is a fictional book about possibilities and truths. . In order to begin to find new vistas, we must begin a new dialogue, and ask new questions, For much truth yet awaits us. Peace on earth, goodwill to men.
Valley of the Gods The ancients seemed to know things that we have long since forgotten. Albert Einstein. On the meaning of mythology:……………………… “When men began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful , and they married any of them they chose…... The Nephilim* (giants or titans) were on the earth in those days, and also afterward- when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, the men of renown”. Genesis 6: 1-4 So- where does mythology end, and human history begin?..................... The ancient ones:…… This terra-earth, Tara, great goddess Gaia, is considered far beyond our sun and solar system, to the near and far outreaches of our galaxy and beyond……., to be one of the great rare and wondrous gems of the universe. We are fortunate-beyond-understanding to have been given birth here, to walk upon its various forms of beauty in its lands, sands and rocks, mountain sides and shores- to play, swim and bathe in its magic waters, to breathe in its breath-of-god air. Our scientists tell us that the universe began eons upon eons ago, as a gas that condensed, super-heated and exploded, forming the universe in the Big Bang. But, they do not tell us where these primordial gases came from. Religion tells us that a prime source was behind the creation of man and universe in seven days. And after that, the gods came down to marry the daughters of man. So who is right? Or could it be that there are minglings of truths in each of these teachings: God creating gods, who create man, Who is therefore of the gods………… When we witness god-created great earthly beauty that lies at our feet, one might conceive that the ancient gods and goddesses, before the time of man, came here and there upon this, and other Terra/Tara-earths, to sculpt and create their homelands. Using elements of water, air and wind in god-moments that humans call eons, caressed the earth and stone and crafted the lands they would live upon. Man, in moments of great tribute, crafts great cathedral-temples, pyramids, obelisks, megalithic structures, ziggurats, and towers; hewn from limestone and crystalline rock using mathematic, astronomic, geometric and engineering skills lent from, or a perhaps even assisted by, the even more ancient ones, and dedicate them a higher power- their unseen god or gods. But what of……… the gods? To whom do they pay homage? Do they not bow down and pray to their own greater gods? For we all pay tribute some higher source than ourselves. …Might not the ancient ones, in those far-flung remote and barren arenas, away from homelands, have created something else? Sacred outdoor cathedrals in sand and stone and earth, around the world, adorned with impossible stone columns, pillars, spires, arches and precipices, sand formations throuout the Tara-earth, out of respect and honor for her- the sands of Namibia, the megalith of Urulu, Sedona, Yellowstone, Red Rock, towering stone peaks of the Alps, great chasms of the Grand Canyon, places too numerous to mention….. These far, silent, sacred places being a prayer whispered to the mother earth in a language of ineffable beauty, and beckoning sentient beings from around the universe and realms beyond, to pilgrimage to and honor them, and sit quietly to drink in and absorb their splendor and essence. ………………… Not so far from some of these remote cathedral-arenas, was one of those countless many homelands in the far northwest of what is now called the land of Chi-in, China. It was centered on the northern shore of a crescent-shaped lake, cradled in a valley between mountains. Here, the primordial gods and goddesses crafted their home, lived, laughed and loved for a great time. Their joy and respect for this home, imbedded for time uninterrupted within the stones of the earth and the deep waters of the crescent lake. A joy that may have ebbed, but was not lost thro the flow of time. This is the story of one of the descendants of those ancient beings who came to re-visit their homes, as the gods and goddesses have always done, and continue to do to this day. They return, unannounced, and unadorned to us, in many subtle forms, to the beloved places they crafted, where they once lived abundant lives. To recreate that enthusiasm, and passion in some form. To honor what they brought into existence. And they come to remember. Sometimes, we walk over these places, and do not see the beautiful creations, do not recognize the deeply meaningful things created in the dawn of our days for what they are. But that beauty exists, whether or not we see, feel or acknowledge its presence and sacredness. And the essence of all that is offered to us during this brief walk upon earth is to awaken and see, acknowledge and walk in truth and beauty, during this brief dance with the gods on this earthly place, the material plane of dense form. The wonder of the world, the beauty and the power, the shape of things, their colors, light and shades, these I saw. Look ye also, while life lasts. Inscription on a gravestone in Cumbria
