An irresistible odyssey through time, love, fear, betrayal and laughter... this spellbinding true-life adventure introduces you to remarkable people and places... exiled Tibetan Lamas and a forty room castle in the heart of France, midnight Grunion hunts on Malibu Colony beach, lunch with Saudi Princes in the Bahamas... Mystics and Greek gods, Mario Andretti and rocket scientist Werner von Braun. In Africa meet a lone giant bull elephant in a sienna coat. Surprise lions prowling on a lush golf course, and swim in the crystal waters of the Seychelles with a giant rainbow octopus. You may even learn that Forgiveness in its Aramaic origins means to cancel, untie or let loose, and has nothing to do with letting others off the hook for their offenses. The author’s richness of description is sure to stir your senses...yet chill you with the heartache that blights the beauty of these romantic settings. You will laugh and you will cry... what more can you ask of a book?

Writing stories since childhood to record the fanciful adventures of her avant-garde family members, Bernadette inherited a strong literary background from her father, Bernard Benson, author of The Peace Book published in 1982, later produced as a play and musical entitled The Peace Child, with music by David Gordon, CAT STEVEN’s brother, performed at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Bernard is also the author of a second book, Alice in Plunderland. Bernadette was born in England, raised in California and France, and now resides between Westport, MA and the Bahamas. Honey English, A True Adventure is the author's first book... and may be the only one she will write, as she is by her own admission, 'a one book woman".
