Not So Creepy Critters is a book that both entertains and educates, as well as doubles as a nature journal. It is appropriate for children ages 2 - 8.
Courtney and Erik Honer are siblings who started a business called Not So Creepy Critters. They live in Central Texas and conduct presentations about arachnids, insects, and reptiles to classrooms near their hometown. Their goal is to teach others about critters that are beneficial to the environment and are not so creepy after all. All photos were taken by Courtney and Erik. Illustrations are by Courtney and Erik Honer and Dylan Crespo.
This book is absolutely fantastic! These kiddos are amazing and produced something that children of all ages would love. It's educational in SO many ways. It has repetition and learning on every single page...children won't even realize they are learning! And they won't forget the catchy rhythm the book provides. The photos are beautiful and the drawings are delightful! And what a neat addition....pages at the end for a nature journal!!! WOW!
This is a great book for teachers too! I am ordering these for everyone for Christmas!!! I sure hope they write more!!
