A careful look into scripture helps us to understand that all that has been created, be it the simple microcosm of the atom, or the more complex macrocosm of the stars and planets hold a unique place in understanding ourselves. Even the character of man is governed by laws and principles originating beyond the natural self.

Why is it significant to know and understand anything about the nature and character of natural things? Is the way we live our lives really a reflection of our character, or is it possible to separate the character of a thing from the thing itself? In theoretical physics, there is a principle of relationship called observer and reality, which simply means that all that is observed is not necessarily reality. It implies that the reality you observe as the observer could very well be different than the reality of the one you are observing in the experience. Could this scientific look into the nature of what we call “physical reality” lend evidence to spiritual (eternal) existence?
As far back in history as you can go, many of our great philosophers like Galileo and Democritus pondered the nature of physical and spiritual existence. Why is there such elusiveness to something that is experienced on an everyday basis? What makes it so easy for some to dismiss the existence of the spiritual and indulge the affluence of this world with the fervor of an Epicurean, and others cling to the hopes of eternal existence with almost no regard for the voluminous riches of this life? What does the Bible have to say about the nature of physical reality and how it contrasts to spiritual reality? Is there anything to be gained or learned of the spiritual through the study of natural laws? As we ponder these questions, we must wonder if there will ever be a consilience between the Bible and the philosophy of scientific observation. My impetus for writing this book comes from my desire to see others seek as I have a deeper look into what I believe to be overwhelming evidence in support of spiritual existence. To have the reader search the dimensions of reality that lie far beyond the limited realm of sense perception. As the Apostle Paul said, “I would not have you ignorant concerning spiritual things.”
Having been a student myself regarding the study of the nature of this world by way of electronic engineering, it has always been quite intriguing to me as to the complexity and obviously deliberate design of nature. How can man make a discovery of pre-existing laws, make them applicable to his physical existence with lucrative gain, and never give any glory to the one who has made it all possible? What significance is there to the traditions and culture of a people that can shape and manipulate their view of physical and spiritual reality? There are times when the traditions and prejudices of a culture must be challenged, and I can think of no greater reason than for our souls.
Dr. Einstein once said, “Common sense is actually nothing more than a deposit of prejudices laid down in the mind prior to the age of eighteen, every new idea one encounters in later years must combat this accretion of self evident concepts.” If there is any veracity to this statement, then we are in desperate need of some uncommon sense, or should I say spiritual sense. I must admit that at first, I had some reservations about writing this book; after all, I am not a leading authority on nature, nor am I on spirituality, but who could ever know all there is to know on any subject? Who among us can afford to wait to know it all before sharing what he does know? My hope, my dream is to take a part of what God has shared with me and share with you, giving insight into creation, the laws of nature, and spiritual existence.
