Lynne has been searching for the right man her entire life. After a series of disastrous relationships and three ended marriages, she comes across Lance’s personal ad on the Internet. She is mesmerized by his photo. Lance is handsome with dark brown wavy hair and his profile indicates he could possibly be the perfect match for her.

Lynne is so enthralled by Lance she dismisses the red flags that emerge early in the relationship. As their romance progresses to the highest level and Lance tells her he is “in love” with her, she ignores the subtle deceptions hidden in Lance’s personality and character.

By the time she realizes this, it is too late. Lynne is hooked and cannot let go. Instead, she hangs on and is terrified of losing him.

Subtle Deception - A woman’s struggle to let go of an Internet relationship, is a true story, taking you on Lynne’s one year journey with Lance. As the reader becomes frustrated wondering why Lynne stays in this relationship, they will see she does indeed emerge a stronger person.

This book is a must read for anyone who is hanging on to a relationship they know in their heart is not going any where.

I receive Lance's morning phone call.

"I see you as an almost definite part of my future," he says.  "I already know I want to be with you.   I love you."

"I just want to be with you right now," I say.

"We have it all," Lance says.  "We will not blow it.  We will seek God together and do it right and keep it right.  I appreciate your heart so much.  We both now have a chance to have everything we have always wanted.  I will handle you gently like my heart wants to.  Maybe one day 'we' will be another creation; marriage."

Later at work I hear the song, "You Light up my Life" by Debby Boone on a co-workers radio.  I think about Lance.  He truly lights up my life.  I email him the song.  I write:

< P > & n b s p ; & n b s p ; & n bsp;      You.......light up my life.......you give me hope.......to carry on, .........

Lance writes back:

And you light up my days.......and fill my nights....with song.......!   It can't be wrong, when it feels (in our spirits) so right.......! And you.......light...up.....my.......life!!!!!

Tears of happiness are streaming down my face.  This is a magic moment.  It is Lance and I and our love.  We have reached the highest peak.

I do not know this is one of the last times I will ever feel this from him again.
