Ode to the woman who has experienced
anger, pain, oppression,
bitterness, greed, jealousy,
love hate, remorse,
depression, solitude, and self deprecation.
Ode to the woman who has experienced
joy, magnificence, pride,
comfort, dignity, cooperation,
wealth, prosperity, peace,
sincerity, warmth and hospitality.
Ode to the woman who has experienced
persistence, dedication, ambition,
self respect, humility, freedom,
power, endurance, spiritualism,
discipline, self control, and balance.
Ode to the woman who has experienced
all that life has to offer as she encounters
family, relatives, friends, associates,
neighbors, coworkers, teachers, mates,
colleagues, strangers and bystanders.
Ode to the woman who has faced herself
enough to know if she’ll either imitate,
nurture, mend, adapt or destroy
the Able PerSOULnalities of those souls she’ll meet
along the way, including her very own.
It takes a special kind of woman
to face the core essence of her soul,

Message To Hidden Jewel

I was browsing through my local bookstore
on a sunny afternoon,
When a book called out to me. . .
"Hey, Hidden Jewel!"

I searched deep inside
my clamored shell,
And pulled out a jewel
with a story to tell.

I carried it around for hours
as it told me her hidden story,
I was quite intrigued, and mordantly wounded,
I thought, " This must be my calling."

So, I went to the register without a second thought,
and I brought the darn book home,
And since then. . . readers of this book,
my soul has never felt alone.

Every time I meet an estuary,
or what Heather calls, a perSOULnality
I open this book, face each wave,
face you. . . face me. . . face we. . . and be brave.
