The story of ‘Buddy The Blimp’ is derived from a blend of youthful wonder relived through the eyes of my children and from adventures and trust in my flying machine.

This book takes Buddy from the hangar into the ocean of air where he experiences the joys of making friends and feels the warmth of being accepted. He also learns a few things about himself and those around him before heading back to the security and love of his family.

Buddy doesn’t know it yet but he and Captain Breeze will become one on future journeys over seashores, deserts and plains, mountains and lakes, viewing the world as it slowly drifts past.

It was an exciting day when I was first introduced to an aircraft that floats like an upside down submarine at the bottom of the ocean of air! Just take a look at a Blimp while standing on your head and you will see what I mean! The slow gentle ride is so buoyant and the panoramic view from above breathtaking. Since then, I have had the privilege of travelling the countryside with my ground support chase team, meeting great people, joining events to provide aerial images for sports television and most heartfelt for all of us, sharing the excitement of our Buddy, the Blimp, with children, their families and friends, particularly those with life threatening illnesses.
