Tsunamisgun battles..skunk hunts..and lots of BELLY RUBS!

Your pup may be dozing away the day. NOT Princess Lola LaDeaux aka Killer! This little basset has daily adventures and close callsshakedowns by Mom and Dada coterie of basset buddies..and of course, the constant Battle of the Basset Bulge. And she shares all in her sort-of daily on-line diary.

THE DAY I COMMITTED AVIATION

As is befitting royalty, I have horses, stables and my Dad to slave away and care for them for ME.

We take the mares out for daily exercise, and sometimes Dad slaps them in the Rocket for a whole day of riding in the mountains!

Today we went to a place called Fourth of July Canyon. It has hills and streams and steep trails---and bridges, which I require. I do not like wet tootsies.

Towards the end of a glorious day, we were heading back to Mabes. There were lots of other humans and their canines on the trail. The perfect match! So many NEW subjects to admire my torso and RUB MY BELLY!

So I got a little behind. I did not see Mom and Dad and Brenda and the equines cross the stream. Dad was yelling at me to catch up and CROSS THE STREAM, CROSS THE STREAM!!! Well, I had NO intention of getting wet in that cold water. So I ran like a jackrabbit…propelled my very long beautiful ears….took a flying leap…and I SAILED over that stream! I landed on the other side CLEAN AND DRY.

Dad tells everyone it is the day I committed aviation.
