- I AM AFRAID TO USE ANYTHING on my face. CAN I use ONLY WATER?
Answer: I guess this also means that you’re afraid of the boogy man. Girl, you better run to the store for some facial cleanser and stop the nonsense. Soap can dry out your face and germs may be living in your washcloth. Use a cleanser that is especially formulated for facial skin or use disposable cleansing facial cloths, sheesh! Everyone washes their body everyday with soap to remove dirt and feel clean. Therefore, if my facial skin is exposed to the elements (dirt) and not covered with clothing, it would make sense to find a facial cleanser to deep clean and keep the face clean and healthy, Duh!
- DOES EVERYONE NEED TO MOISTURIZE?
Answer: Yes. Let’s compare our skin to a raisin. Once moisture dries in a raisin, the skin get dry and cracks. I am sure you have seen someone who has a face that resembles a raisin; dry and wrinkled. A good moisturizer will keep your face from cracking and prevent premature aging. The trick is to find a moisturizer that is designed for dry, normal or oily skin. Know your skin type. If you can scratch your name on your cheeks, you’re dry. If you have so much oil on your face that you can fry an egg, you are oily. If the last two problems don’t apply, you are normal. Now you know your skin type.
