This book was inspired by the determination to ensconce myself in the creative bowels of my being and beat the storms; by the courage and optimism to strengthen my resolve of doing something better, whereby these poems are such that will serve as showers of inspirations to my readers.

        These days when the economy’s ominous pendulum is swinging downward and swinging sideways; these days when the rations on tables are under heavy assault by inflation; these days when individuals are hurting due to holes punched into their pockets by the stings of recession; these days when massive layoffs are threatening survival; these days of uncertainties and fears of just about anything – you will agree with me that these are hard times and surviving them is like digging through a formidable bulwark with bare hands.

        Veritably, I believe that courage, self-esteem, stoicism, determination and optimism are the right tools for surfing the rough waves of hard times. This had me spurred into finding my real potential – gaining touch with my creativity.

        ‘Necessity is the mother of invention’ – inspirational words of the sages that speak well to our understanding. However, in my situation it is best to say, ‘surviving hard times became the mother of creative exploration, as well as initiator of inspirational expedition’, whereby with courage and determination I was able to sail into the depth of my inner being, the source from which springs limitlessly the fountain of creativity inherent in each person.

        The fruitful result, as well as product of tapping into that fountain of creativity is the book you are holding right now.
