Blessed:Therapy is the long awaited masterpiece, by new author, Jennifer 'Je' Wilford. It is a true story, based on the trials and tribulations that surrounded the sudden death of both of her parents. She tells us how those tragic events, have caused her to walk away from an 18yr alternative lifestyle, that her mother often encouraged her to change.  Je' is a true survivor of circumstances that would damage the lives of some and threaten the lives of most. Blessed:Therapy will have you laughing, crying and praying from the very beginning. Journey with her, through her eyes, as she takes you on the most difficult path that she has ever had to face in life. You will laugh, you will cry and you will be Blessed.
We raced back to my mothers room and I had enough time to take off my jacket and come over to her and kiss her on her forehead. I rubbed her head and told her that I loved her, just as I did every chance I could. I told my mom that it was okay to let go; I would do everything I could to look out for her sister and take care of myself. I promised my mom that I would get my life together. I knew if I wanted to see her in the next lifetime, I would have to make some major changes. Just as I felt her peace come over me, my mother began to cough uncontrollably. I had her left hand and Auntie Roe had her right hand. My moms eyes slightly came open as she coughed. Her eyes seemed to be fixed on me as she coughed. Then she stopped and everything was real quiet. She let out a big sigh and then I heard that fatal rattle. You know the rattle that we call the Death Rattle. I called for the nurse and she called in the other patient assistants to help with my mom. In that short amount of time, we all had become family. We all watched as my moms chest would slowly rise and fall. Then it stopped and it never moved again. She squeezed my hands really tight, and then she squeezed her eyes. I saw her smile as if she had seen Jesus waiting for her, saying, Servant, well done. My mom took her last breath at 11:50pm on November 9, 2008.
New author Jennifer ‘Je’ Wilford introduces a heartfelt true story that will capture your attention and touch your heart from the very beginning. Je’ always had a mature level of thinking and writing, but it wasn’t until the sudden death of her mother and father, that she picked up the pen to write again. Not knowing any other way to cope with their deaths; she acknowledges God as being her source of strength, enabling her to write through her pain. She has stated on several occasions, that God gave her the title, “Blessed Therapy”. “My mother taught me at an early age that anytime you want something in your life to prosper, you must keep God fi rst. I have always considered it to be a blessing to be able to help others with their problems by simply listening to them and telling them about the changes that I have been through in my life. It helped them, but it was my therapy”. After living an alternative lifestyle for 18yrs, Je’ decided to walk away and give her life back to Christ. She states, "It has been a difficult road, but there is no situation that I can’t overcome, as long as God is with me. I want to see Jesus when I leave this world someday, and I want to see my parents again, too. I’ve learned in life that you will always fear what you don’t know. Th is time, I turned fear, into Faith and I let God lead the way”. Jennifer currently resides in Dallas, Texas and is a member of the Friendship West Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Frederick D. Haynes III.
