"Daddy Doesn't Live Here Anymore" follows "Scott", an eight year old boy, journeying through the devastating and emotional world of his parents' divorce. It answers many questions that children often have when a parent moves out of the house while reassuring them that they are not alone, they are wanted, and above all, they are loved.
Mommy's friends click their tongues and say we come from a broken home. Since mommy said I am the man of the house, I looked all over for the broken part so I could fix it.
I looked in the kitchen, the living room, and the bedrooms; I even looked all the way in the attic where it smells funny and is dark. All I found were pictures, boxes, and dirt. There were no broken parts. So I went and asked mommy where the broken part of our home was because I wanted to fix it. She told me sometimes broken means something is missing. I knew what was missing. We are missing daddy.
