Kathy Tolar is a native North Carolinian who lives in Swannanoa with her husband Tim, grandsons, Chance and Chase, and daughter Ginger, who provided the illustrations for this book and plans to work with her mother on future books. Kathy has six children, seventeen grandchildren and is currently owner/operator of a childcare center. Her past writing experiences were stories created for her children and the children she now teaches, along with several published newspaper articles. Her book I Must Be from Another Planet is a children's fiction book that is actually based on true events surrounding her grandson, Chance.
