This is book two of a trilogy.  The first book titled; Awake, Arise and Triumph and subtitled Book 1 - God's Original Intent spoke of the period from Genesis 1:1 of the Holy Bible through the time that man fell (Genesis 3:6) being deceived of Satan.  This second book titled; Awake, Arise and Triumph and subtitled Book 2 - God's Road to Redemption reviews creation, the fall of man, the consequences of sin and the mechanisms by which Satan worked to deceive Adam and now you and me. Than praise God we see how our Redeemer, our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ is revealed in the Old Covenant on the Road of God's mercy to redemption.

IN THE BEGINNING

CHAPTER ONE

As I begin this second book in the Awake, Arise and Triumph series, God’s Road to Redemption, I will briefly review some of the ground covered in Book One – God’s Original Intent. [1]

Genesis 1:1 (KJV)
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. [2]

From the very first verse of the Bible we see that “In the beginning God created,'' and He created both “the heaven and the earth.”  This marks the beginning of time, a time period which culminates with “a new heaven and a new earth.'' (Revelations 21:1) [2] This thing we call time is an age among many in eternity past.  God is eternal.  This is a difficult concept for finite flesh, but simply means an unending consciousness.  There is an eternity past you are not aware of, but there will never be a time in the future that you will not be conscious.  Notice God tells us there will be ages to come.

Ephesians 2:7 (KJV)
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. [2]

I believe we could safely conclude that there were ages or what we would call periods of time that differed from other ages or periods of time.  Remember the potential variation in and with God is infinite.  As you mediate on what went on before us and what will go on after this age, remember that God changes not.  You might say He is a person of habit.  That is, His character does not change; and He does not change in any capacity, but there can and will be infinite change in surroundings.  For example, in this age we have a sun, a moon, and stars;  so why would we think that in ages past and in ages to come He would not also have these or some recognizable variation on this theme?

I believe that in the creation of Genesis 1:1 there may well have been bodies placed in the cosmos; and I believe there will once again be bodies in the cosmos after He creates the new heaven and new earth of Revelations 21:1, 2.  One of the compelling reasons for this is illustrated by the writer of the letter to the Hebrews when he said that Jesus was the creator of the current worlds and is also heir of all things which would include these worlds.   God is not a God of decrease, so it would be out of character for Him to diminish the physical world for that would be a reduction in the inheritance.  Reduction is the business of Satan not our God.  Paul, when he wrote to the Roman Church, told us that we are children of God the Father; heirs of God the Father, and joint-heirs with Christ.  What a deal!  Paul started the eighth chapter of his letter to the Romans by telling the Church that we are in Christ Jesus.  We are indeed hidden in Him as Asaph writes in Psalm 83, when the Father looks at Jesus, He sees us; and when He sees us, He sees Jesus and the precious blameless blood.

Hebrews 1:2 (KJV)
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; [2]

 Romans 8:17 (KJV)
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. [2]
