A MUST Read!! And a True Story!! This is a book that should really hit home. It's a situation that happens everyday in America. With the current divorce rate in the U.S. at over 50%, adults are forced to move back in with their own parents to make ends meet. Only now they have their children in tow. What's sad is it's almost becoming the norm. It is written in a diary type form, speaking through the kids take on the situation. It shows the affects of class discrimination when kids and adults are judged by their neighbors due to financial and or status position. We really need this story to be talked about aloud and not whispered about behind closed doors. It would be a great book for just about all ages...
A True Story! This is a situation that needed to be screamed aloud. It teaches adults that their children see the way you might be judging their friends and neighbors, and also how you might actually be teaching your kids how to discriminate based on class or financial status. A child has no say in a divorce or the circumstances it places them in. This is a book that shows how it can affect not only adults but more importantly our kids!!
We are first time authors. Average, middle class parents. We decided to write this book in a diary type form being told through the eyes of the child as well as the parent. We really thought this subject needed to be brought to the forefront.
