In this introduction to the genetics of color and pattern in the domestic fowl you will find a direct and straightforward method that allows anyone to understand the process through which the varieties of the domestic fowl are made. Beginning with a discussion of pigment distribution, then adding the genes which modify the melanin pigments or add patterns to it, an understanding of the “layers” that are implicit in any variety is revealed. The focus in this volume is the many standard color varieties of poultry and the aim is helping any breeder to understand the workings of these many varieties. The language of this book is designed for beginners to be able to easily understand the material.

By Sandra Sweeny Silver

Sandy Silver paid her dollar at the County Fair and walked into a small, dark room filled with hundreds of thousands of honeybees behind glass. “I want this,” she said. Over the objections of her husband, she got a honeybee Observation Hive. We’re glad she did. Her journal burrows deep into the everyday life and death of a world most of us have never even contemplated. The honeybee gives us man’s oldest sweet but she, also, has a sting. This is a gentle and reverent book, but it has a sharp edge. You’ll enjoy Silver’s many digressions into history, archaeological wonders, etymology and all things cosmic. Most of all, you’ll finish the book and say, “Wow, a sweet read.”

Our planet is crowded with a spectacular diversity of living creatures. As a most peculiar fact, the oldest of these are in general the most primitive whereas the most recent are the most advanced. How can evolution be working in order to bring about such a counterintuitive result? This raises the challenging question of a direction of evolution. Is it proceeding in a certain direction, is it improving, is it even accelerating?

By introducing the concept of complexity, the author suggests a new way of describing the process of evolution. In this conception, the human cultural evolution is found to be a continuous extension of biological evolution in a common process of ever increasing complexity, characterized as a stepwise, cumulative progression.

What is man’s place in this process? Is it meaningful to reflect upon this at all? In fact, in asking this very question we have at the same time answered it. No other creature would. Our brains provide us with a fantastic range of exclusive cognitive abilities and in this respect we are unique.

In this book, we embark on an innovative, exploratory and inter-disciplinary adventure, step by step following the author towards his quest of investigating evolution, its direction and the place of ourselves in it.

By Michael Ebifegha
The postulate of molecules-to-human evolution by natural selection (evolutionism), like creationism, cannot be demonstrated empirically. Therefore, the creationism-evolutionism controversy offers a choice between intelligent design by God and unintelligent design by evolutionary selection. Scientists are split on philosophical grounds since events in the immaterial realm are outside the purview of science. In reality, designers claim products; no product of a process, can account for how it was designed or for its ontology. Accordingly, Scientific American Editor John Rennie suggested that one way to override a purely evolutionary worldview is, if the creator/s appeared and claimed credit. Author Michael Ebifegha's previous book The Death of Evolution provides the historical details of God’s ancient claim for creating the universe before an audience. Dawkins, in his The God Delusion, failed to address this historical event; hence, his statement that “There almost certainly is no God” is flawed. The Darwinian Delusion discusses the fossil record, the role of natural selection; the mystery of the origin of life and God’s affirmation of agency in world history. Ebifegha argues that both the scientific and philosophical analysis point to God as the Creator and hence the delusion as such is not about God, but about the Darwinian paradigm of materialism.
