Quotes that can speak to you can stay with you! Every day life looks like either something to love or a load to carry. When you want something to say to express how you feel, Stuff You Can Say Everyday contains one liners to do just that! Because of all of life’s challenges, this book is full of words that I internalized before I verbalized them. As I readily state, “Use the crap from your past to fertilize your future.” In so doing, may you find words that will challenge you to reach a new level in your life—one liners that will make you laugh, love, and help you go to a deeper life spiritually. “One sentence spoken to you in the right season could give your life more meaning than a hundred other reasons.” Use Stuff You Can Say Everyday everywhere you go! “Make your words unregrettable and worth retelling, so someone will find them unforgettable and worth repeating.”

"Marry Me and I Will Take You All Over the World" is best summarized by its sub-title: Quotes and Tidbits from a Life of Love. Many families will recognize their own shenanigans from this book. Since it is written for anyone who can read, I have omitted lots of material that might be considered offensive. Here’s one I probably should have retained: The year is 1984; an American colleague is visiting us in Paris to be honored for technical contributions to the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He thanks everybody: “merci beaucoup” (and they say Americans do not speak foreign languages!). He really should have stopped there, though. Instead, he continues in his best French: “I would like to sleep with all of you,” (je voudrai .....), when he meant to say “I love you all,” (je vous aime.) You'd think the French would be upset, but in fact they whooped and hollered … at least my buddy "attempted" their language, and did not just assume that they all speak English. They get a bad rap, the French, for brusqueness ... and rightly so (just kidding, France.) But actually they can be really nice; and Paris is a great cultural and architectural city (oh la la!). So ... that’s one of the many I excluded; wait until you get to the ones that made the book. As for the ones that I omitted, well they should fit nicely in my next book: "Wait, Wait, There's More ... The Movie Version."

Sparing our Friends : Spiritual Vegetarianism is a compilation of quotes gathered from old spiritual scriptures and famous religious leaders . From Jesus to Mother Teresa, and from the Bible to the Essene Gospels, these wonderful quotes give the message of healthy eating to maintain a healthy, long living, youthful body. They also give a message of peace and love towards animals. There are studies by scientists that claim that the human body is designed to live at least 120 years. There are people in the bible who lived past 120 years of age. The author was inspired to look for some old and modern quotes on healthy eating and compiled this wonderful book. This is not a book of beliefs or a book to convince anyone of anything. It is just a compilation of quotes and stories on healthy eating and love for animals. Enjoy!

The wise-sayers say “you are what you think”. If that's so, then the body is merely the transporter for the mind. The body does not last but the mind can. And that possibility could explain why so many of the ancient sayings apply to the today's world and possibly eternity. Take Aesop. He lived 620 - 560 BC. He said “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted”. This is still a wise saying some 2600 years later. Back then the memory system was mental. Today, we have computers and a digital memory system. But our present society is built on a procession of thinking from many years past. The situation is succinctly expressed by William Feather (1889 - 1981) who said, “The wisdom of the wise and the experience of the ages are preserved into perpetuity by a nation's proverbs, fables, folk sayings and quotations”. Looking to the future, we appear to be poised for some great things. Preparing for the future, Walt Disney (1901 - 1966) said, ”Crowded classrooms and half-day sessions are a tragic waste of our greatest national resource --- the minds of our children” and Nicholas Zaharis (1921 - ) said “Education is expensive but ignorance is more expensive”. The intention of this manuscript is to educate, inspire and amuse. It is based on a thousand quotations by 400 astute individuals. Their occupations and claim to fame are discussed briefly. Many had multiple occupations. Most were philosophers, authors and writers. The author visualizes the contents as a source of ideas for advertising programs, for casual conversations and for meditative reading and thinking. It is sort of a table-top book that can be opened and read at random.
