This book is about dealing with loss. After the death of my mother, the devil waged an all out attack to destroy me. Satan literally tried to shut me down. I was faced with a decision; either give in to Satan's attacks or go on in Jesus' name. By the Grace of God and through the Word of God I am enabled to go on.

This book describes in an-easy-to read style how to listen to people who need to tell their story. Many are hurt, confused, afraid, or burdened by past experiences. They want someone to talk to who can help them understand what is robbing them of emotional or spiritual well-being. The book provides a dos and don’ts checklist for this effective kind of listening. It identifies what robs people of peace and the sources of their disquiet. It gives guidance as to how listeners can respond to what is said in a way that releases the storyteller and restores wholeness. It outlines the specific role of prayer as a healing and renewing tool for establishing newness of life, and it gives practical steps for those seeking to establish a listening ministry within their own Christian communities. It is an essential read for anyone engaged in pastoral care at any level.

This book is a personal history of Iraq, told from the point of view of a family man living there during Saddam Hussein's reign and its aftermath. It examines all the factors leading to the current situation and challenges the misunderstandings currently fuelling the media: for example, a Sunni belonging to the Ba'ath Party is expected to be an extremist Saddam loyalist. He knew friends among Saddam's government ministers, who suffered under Saddam and regularly plotted to overthrow him. It contain 1.A brief history of the city of Baghdad, which during its golden age was a great centre of culture and learning. It was a setting for the One Thousand and One Arabian Nights, in which Queen Scheherazade called it the City of Peace. 2.A picture of Baghdad in the year 2000. At first glance, it is a new golden age, but there is much suffering here. An overview of my family life and of the racial and religious harmony in which we live, and of the day-to-day effects of the 13th years US trade embargo. In 2003, when war with the U.S. & its allies becomes inevitable, my neighbourhood prepares for evacuation. I flee across the Tigris with my wife and children. We are caught right in the middle of the Shock and Awe campaign. When the attack dies down, I drive home under a rain of missiles 3.A history of the races and religions of Iraq. The Western media suggests that Saddam's Iraq comprised a ruling Sunni minority and a serving Shi'ite majority. This was not the case. Iraq is not solely Muslim, and its Muslims are not all of the Sunni or Shi'ite faiths. The Sunnis were not the majority, and most were ordinary people, as downtrodden as everyone else. The media say that Iraq comprises two opposing races: Arabs and Kurds. This, too, is wrong, as it has many indigenous races and we are used to living in harmony. 4.Details of The Kurdish conflict. 5.Saddam invades Kuwait. Details of its effects. 6.The war which brings down Saddam destroys Iraq's infrastructure and leave tens of thousands without homes or jobs. 7.An overview of the reasons behind the US & its ally's to the war on Iraq, and the reasons why the country has got so out of hand. 8.The Coalition Provision Authority takes its advice from exiled Iraqi groups with personal agendas

Inside the story of Customer Service is a customer services guide born out of a wealth of personal interactive experiences with a largely diverse and multicultural clientele, research and training in the service industry all spanning over five years by the author as a customer service representative. As a masterpiece of literary work, this book brings to light 12 carefully chosen and well-elaborated themes designed to demonstrate, highlight and expose the various challenges faced by today’s highly dynamic service delivery sector. The ordinary day-to-day life experiences as illustrated by well-researched real-life stories in almost every chapter have each been packaged and extensively written with the flip side of each story. The aim is to give the reader a balanced insight into why and how the service sector has metamorphosed and still continues to meet so many challenges. The form and content of the book is such that it should enable employees, managers and prospective customers distinguish between good and bad service delivery practices. Each of the 12 themes presented in the book demonstrates its ability to equip employees with soft skills and knowledge which can be used during day-to-day work related activities within the work environment in a much more cautious, professional and customer-friendly manner. To the managers/employers, this book is an eye-opener which brings to light certain service delivery practices that people often tend to overlook as insignificant. Most important all, this book can be a good reference for training officers/specialists in all customer service oriented industries. The flip side of the stories has also been presented as a wake-up call to not only the employers or employees but customers too for they often unknowingly fall victim to poor service delivery. The book also brings to the awareness of the customers their rights and responsibilities as consumers of services.

Successful and effective management are critical to the well being and stable governance of organisations. However, all too frequently those in management positions are untrained, unqualified, unprofessional, stuck in a “do as I say, or else,” mentality and often seem incapable of making rational, logical judgements. The author examines some high profile examples, sometimes with a little humour, but also some of the day to day ongoing mistakes which are made by those in management roles simply because of flawed, well established, entrenched and ineffective ways of behaving and going about things. Philip Langford has spent twenty years working inside a wide range of organisations, across the globe as a management consultant and has found significant problems to the ways in which many organisations function. His book describes many of the bizarre and extraordinary shortcomings over 21 topical sections and explains how most of these can be overcome with a shift in the thinking and behaviours of managers at all levels. This book is, at times, scathing in its criticisms. It also challenges the peculiar notion that managers need to become leaders in order to have credibility and succeed. His contention is that organisations desperately need both effective management and quality leadership if they are to succeed in the fast paced, constantly changing, business world of the 21st century.
