Ojalá que sea una ayuda valiosa para la población de habla hispana en los Estados Unidos que quiere profundizar su conocimiento del idioma inglés. Los estadounidenses que están interesados en aprender el equivalente en español de sus refranes y expresiones, también lo encontrarán de gran provecho.  En lo posible, se ha incluido el  origen histórico de la expresión junto con ejemplos comunes de la vida diaria.  Cada capítulo termina con una broma en español.  Se ha incluido cuatro trabalenguas, ejemplos de las "locuras" del inglés hablado en los Estados Unidos y quince bocetos de un caricaturista venezolano.
