This book is a collection of groundbreaking essays in the area of metaphysics and Esoteric subjects. The book covers several contemporary topics of extreme interest. Some of the titles are: The Paradox of Life, Fallacies and Deceptions in Occultism, The Fallacy of Predictions, Psychological Resistance to Wholeness, The “Original Sin,” The “Adversary and the Redeemer,” From Fear to Faith, The Dialectic and the Qabalah, among other influential topics. These subjects have been of utmost importance in the developing of the author’s intellectual and personal growth from a provincial and materialistic state of mind to a spiritual and broader awareness in fields related to the conception of man and the universe. Therefore, the articles are the product of long reflections, meditations, and a life long search for the spiritual meaning of life.

Furthermore, the essays attempt to demystify and dispel basic misconceptions accepted as true by common opinion. They examine and question several fundamental erroneous concepts traditionally believed and accepted as conventional wisdom. In addition to informing and educating the reader about some very innovative issues, they will also help to separate “the grain from the chaff,” so to speak, regarding preconceived misconceptions on metaphysical and other related areas of thought. In that sense, this book is definitely thought provoking, as it challenges many customary beliefs

Anywhere we look around ourselves, we see that there is aggression, in one or another way. Even within ourselves, as well, whether we admit it or not. Why is it so? We live in the so called “modern” world, where everyday we discover new ways for easing our way of life, hoping for better life, but, it, the aggression, is still there. We even make up new philosophies for that matter, but we see that there’s no way out. What causes a man to be so aggressive, to have that impulse for aggression, whether it be toward his neighbor or nature? Some say that it’s something natural, other say that it’s because of economic reasons. We love the nature, we admire it because she gives us all that we need for us to live. We love each other, raise children who come in this world because of that love. But…it, the aggression, is still there, though we despise it. It seems that we are somehow unaware of our unconsciousness of acting toward man or the nature in aggressive way. And the author of this book discovers something new, gives us a new point of view, and says that the aggression comes “FROM THE SUBCONSCIOUS CONFLICT BETWEEN LIFE AND DEATH WITHIN MAN HIMSELF.”

In this book, which goes beyond boundaries of our material world, you’ll discover the reasons why we are so aggressive and the ways and means how to get rid of it and start to live a life full of humanity.

"I couldn’t put it down!! Never before has any book ignited so wide array of feelings and emotions within (no pun intended). I laughed, cried and read it again, and again, and again. The War Within provides a glimpse into the mind of a soldier. I could feel the pain, joy and anger of the young woman and fellow veteran, who stood tall when the nation called. I understand her quest to regain the person she left behind, on the field of battle. Her writing is a stroke of literary genius." Kate W. Drexler, CPO (Ret.), US Navy “Ruby’s poetry is written in a very compelling, gripping fashion. Real life is stripped of all distractions. It is artistic and intuitive.” Lorraine Austin “…very powerful and moving poems about the military experience.” Sheila Fullwood, SFC (Ret.), US Army

“Tea Bag”:  Noun

A small porous sack holding enough tea leaves to place in boiling water to make an individual serving of tea

The tea bag was invented around 1904 by Thomas Sullivan, a tea and coffee merchant from New York City.  He began using bags instead of more expensive tins to ship loose tea to potential clients.  The bags quickly caught on because of their convenience, and it was easier and quicker to make a cup of tea.  The rest, as they say, is history.

That is how our lifestyle has become.  We want everything easy…we want everything convenient…we want everything now!

We paid a price for the convenience of the tea bag: quality and flavor.  Likewise, we are paying a price for our rush-rush lifestyle: loss of values and loss of friendships, broken homes, mixed-up priorities, and the list goes on.

It’s time to get back to the simple life.  Here’s hoping this journal will inspire you to do just that.  Sit back, relax, grab a pen and write.  Or just have a cup of tea with me…it’s the most consumed beverage in the world.
