This is a plan for disaster recovery where the survivors are the key part of a swift and low cost repair of the damage. It is not a technical work such that everyone can read it and enjoy a few hours of learning. It begins in the future when you listen in to a mayor’s up date from his disaster recovery team feeling that the recovery is proceeding better they had hoped. This starts when you are rescued and ends when you are leaving to live in your rebuilt house. More information is provided on how the Peoples’ Village Plan can work and the preparation prior to a disaster to get ready. This is all summed up with a way to modify the plan to repair Katrina, and similar Gulf Coast disasters where people are still waiting for help. You don’t have to be in a disaster zone to get some good from this book. You can learn how to improve your life and those around you by living a different kind of life. A life that can bring you more friends and security then you now consider possible. Don’t forget your friends as they can be helped by this book. If they cannot afford to buy the book; send, or lend them yours. I won’t care as it can help them. Besides, everyone needs something new to read, and received from a friend, it may make their day.

In December of 1986 Tommy and Luann Shields along with their three children Becky, Julie, and Tyler felt the call of God to come and pastor. Their first service was on Julie’s ninth birthday. They are still pastoring today. Bro. Shields and Sis. Shields are honored to serve the Worthington church. Their favorite, other than revivals, is the church dinners. They love to taste each item carried in and they want to share some of these recipes with you. One of the best cooks was our daughter, Becky. All agree she had a special touch. She dedicated her life to working in the church. At the age of twelve she was teaching Sunday School, leading the singing in the church, and throughout her short life she was a faithful worker for the Lord. On December 3, 2004, Rebeca Ann Shields Eads, age 30, was called home to be with her Maker. We miss her so. Some days we feel we can not make it without her, but we have a promise that someday we will be with her again. This book is a collection of the churches favorite recipes. Enjoy and God Bless.

"Taming Your New Refrigerator" is best read before you buy the refrigerator. It is meant to be an aid to anyone who is going to buy a new refrigerator or who has questions about one just purchased. It contains suggestions about what to look for as well as what to avoid when buying a refrigerator. People who would find this book helpful include people buying a new refrigerator, people remodeling a kitchen, landlords, home economics teachers and perhaps realtors. Chapter topics include buying a refrigerator, making sure house is suitable and handling "no-cool" situations. The book can help you avoid mistakes I see every day as a refrigerator repair technician. It is the result of years of experience repairing and seeing the same mistakes in installation, purchasing and care day-after-day. Many of these mistakes result in service calls, which cost you, the consumer, directly or indirectly. My belief is that over the life of the refrigerator you will save a lot more than the cost of this book if you use the information it contains.

This book is about building a house in the southwestern part of the United States; though, there are many things which are in common to building a similar structure in other parts of the country. This author conducted two years of research before embarking upon such a venture. Additionally, for the following nine months, I filmed and photographed all aspects of the task of building the structure, including performing many tasks myself. Yet, despite that, it quickly became obvious that those who plan to either be an owner-builder or have a house built by others, need a book like this, because it is truly an eye-opener. In fact, it is a practical guide which provides the reader with invaluable information about the process to be followed (contained within are many images/illustrations to help the prospective house owner). The book examines best construction practices while exposing shoddy workmanship, costly shortcuts of convenience, communication and coordination problems, and the use of inferior building materials. The work also discusses some of the nuances unique to building in such states as Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and even parts of California. It is the intention of this author this will help those who seek to build a southwestern house avoid many pitfalls which lie ahead; because, this is a book I wish I could have had before I began the journey. The book also contains an index and a list of Recommended Service and Product Providers. If you are about to build or have a house built, please see the last page of the book titled SPECIAL OFFER REGISTRATION, because as a purchaser of this book, once you have registered, you will have an opportunity to speak with the author by phone for consultations or exchange e-mails regarding the construction of your house.

Today’s housing market offers exceptional opportunities and incentives to achieve the American dream. “Your Key to a Successful Home Financing” presents unique resources that will help you understand and simplify the loan process, identify available mortgage programs to meet your goals, and enjoy the advantages of being a homeowner. This book will also prepare you with the essentials for a loan approval and tips on how to improve your credit. I'll describe fundamental benefits of using government loans, such as buying with no money down or getting additional funds to repair your home, and options to receive down payment assistance from your city, county or state. I’ll show you how to save money by obtaining a seller credit towards closing costs, reduce your interest rate and its cost, and obtain federal and state tax credits. In addition, you will learn ways to buy foreclosures with low down payment. As a mortgage consultant, I strongly believe in full disclosure to my clients; I’ll describe important key documents that need to be reviewed before looking for a house and at the closing of your transaction. I was motivated to write this book because I frequently witness loan officers failing to provide existing programs and resources to homebuyers. Ultimately, this lack of expertise or ability can be detrimental at the moment of purchasing your home. Throughout “Your Key to a Successful Home Financing” outstanding online support for homebuyers and homeowners will be listed, and you will discover secrets banks may not necessarily want you to know. Its chapters were designed for readers that don't have time to study vague and lengthy narratives about financing. It provides direct, current and crucial advice to find the most appropriate home loan program to fit your needs, because now it’s a great time to take action! www.homefinancingbook.com
