The story of the 48th is as varied as its climate and its geography. And the people who have come and gone are a microcosm of the land they inhabited or live here today. Red people, black people, yellow people and white people. Arizona’s history has been influenced by them. Most were God-fearing and accepted the land as it was bestowed upon them. Some were determined to change it. But, to this day, the residents look upon Arizona as a veritable paradise which too many still seek to change for better or for worse.

After all, our relatives have already lived here; from

*      The Anasazi to the Conquistadores

*      The Europeans to the Africans, the North Americans

*      The Asians to the Latinos

My book about drugs and the drug cartel is on the cutting edge of world events, terrorist activity and crime, and has its finger on the pulse of a world gone mad from all four corners. Of course, in reality, truth is much more frightening than any sci-fi thriller, and in the world of drugs, that means murder, mayhem, and conspiracies. In many cases, the conspirators are unwitting and unwilling participants.

In order to understand our proximity on the map of time and how we stumbled into the quicksand that permeates all news headlines, TV, and radio channels, we must look outside and beyond our planet, in order to step back and regroup our thoughts. Our first chapter utilizes a make-believe extraterrestrial visitor who has stopped two hundred miles above our planet. While deciding where to land and where to call home, he, of course, is surprised by what he finds. We use our alien friend only in the first chapter and for a short period, because he is fiction, and our book is dead serious. We utilize our alien friend as a third-party to show how our earth appears from a distance.

Chapter Two is an illustration of what America was about post-World-War-Two, when it did not contain the drug’s social virus and it was not fighting the drug war. It shows what might have inspired our alien friend to traverse the universe when America held all the cards. Chapter Two will lift the veil of time that has slowly acclimated our people to accepting the results that have been perpetrated on our people.

As we step into Chapter Three, we chronologically and geographically explain who, when, and where this epidemic of drug use and drug sales began. We identify the suppliers and purveyors, as well as the purchasers. Once we have moved beyond the mechanics of how and when it started, we begin the Herculean task of explaining that our logic and our war on drugs has not only been wrong but is totally backwards.

This, of course, leads us into the chapter that will explain the results and the detrimental effect of how the drug war has butchered our people. The results have not only been bloody, but could  decimate our economic infrastructure.

As our chapters flow forward, we create a compassion for the drug user who has been overlooked, and unequivocally prove that he is more victim than villain. Also, we expose a giant domestic drug dealer of a pharmaceutical nature, which is the genesis of many drug users. We utilize a couple of short stories based on true incidents to explain how opiate or heroin addiction can cast your life into utter darkness.

To intrigue the most hardened cynics, and in some cases, atheists, we explain and prove the difference between the brain and the mind. This chapter incorporates the world of matter, as well as antimatter, by showing the detrimental affect of drugs on both forces.

Throughout our book, we provide a climax for our readers with an unconventional solution that has been obscured, subdued, and overlooked for a variety of dangerous and selfish reasons. This chapter may be the most precarious for me as a writer, but we take no prisoners and give no quarter. After all, the drug cartels have shown no mercy on the American people.

From a theological point of view concerning current world events, we explain the coming storm that rests in the back corner of everyone’s mind. While reviewing these eminent and impending storms, we itemize them and then explain the need to be clean and sober in order to survive the future.

While our book deals on a national basis, we do offer, in our last chapter, unconventional and unappreciated techniques for stepping out of darkness and drug use and into the light. These unconventional techniques are not just ideas, they are mechanical results that dry-out centers, prisons, and detox doctors have failed to pursue. We explain cause and effect in the neurotransmitters of the brain and how not only to get back on track but also how to board the right train.

“Bush’s Fifth Year – Governance and Morass in < s t 1 : c o u n t r y -region>Iraq

describes Bush’s failed attempts to “justify his costly

pre-emptive war in < s t 1 : c o u n t r y - region>Iraq,” wasteful spending, federal

deficits and national debt, teaching a globalist not

nationalist curriculum in public education and weak

post war governance in < s t 1 : c o u n try-region>Iraq on the verge of civil war.

His policy on immigration amounts to “Mexico First,”

on trade – “sell out” to international corporations along

with lax issuance of H1 – B and L – l visas to favored big

business, on foreign policy -- devoid of any major achieve-

ments, on energy policy – essentially nil progress, on Social

Security--effectively stymied, on Medicare Senior Drug

Program – costly and chaotic, on Katrina – ineptitude and

delayed responses from Homeland Security and FEMA, and rising

public clamor anent incompetence and calls for impeachment.

Like the Cats of Kilkenny recounts the Civil War experiences of the Morgan and Brown families from the perspectives of various family members. Their many adventures and misadventures take place on an amazingly broad stage and include brushes with notable figures like the noble Robert E. Lee and the notorious "Bloody Bill" Anderson. What makes their stories most intriguing, though, is that they are all true.

It’s the late 1700’s, and a beautiful baby girl is born to a Shoshone Tribal Chief and his wife.  The mother names the child Huichu, the Shoshone word for “Little Bird”.  Join Huichu, later called Sacagawea (Bird Woman), as she endures the hardships of slavery and abuse, only to discover true self worth as a member of a member of the Lewis and Clark Expedition into the western territory.

Native American language, legend and customs are woven into this meticulously researched tale of a brave, young Native American girl who was so instrumental in paving the way for the white man’s movement west.  The events are real, the Native American legends have been passed down through the generations and the Shoshone language is authentic.

It is my sincere desire that by learning something about Sacagawea’s life, the reader will gain an appreciation of the hardships endured and the accomplishments made by women in the early years of our great nation, the United States of America.

This book reveals how this new generation of learners, the Deuce Millennium Generation (DMG), began their journey from Pre-kindergarten at the start of the new millennium in fall 2001 to their middle school years. This generation has endured the societal effects of the post 9/11 years for almost ten years, yet the author asserts that they will be the best and the brightest. He contends that the recent educational training delivered by highly-skilled Teacher Training Institutions will contribute to an increase in students' knowledge and performance on high stakes measures of assessments over the years. The book acknowledges that accreditation is a key factor that plays an important role in the student achievement process. This book is a primary source for understanding how the achievement gap in America can be closed. The author contends that this scholarly work is the first comprehensive book written on the subject. He engages the audiences in issues that are thought-provoking and makes the case that the historical, social, and public education processes have a profound impact on the learning outcomes of students in American schools. It is easy to understand why the author puts a name and a face on this new generation of learners. The book reveals a clear picture concerning who this generation is and what effects will occur to them, if the signs of the times are not reversed. This book should be read and used by all Teacher Training Institutions, teachers, parents, and decision-makers who are interested in Closing the Achievement Gap in America. The gap issue is a national imperative!

“How < s t 1 : c o u n t r y -region>America Was Born” is a story that makes learning history more fun.

Siblings, Benjamin and Martha were given a magic camera called “Freedom”.    “Freedom” takes Benjamin and Martha to different years like a time machine.  While they jump from one period in history to another they learn about how our country started and how people lived long ago.

Benjamin and Martha go back to 1620 and travel on the Mayflower with the pilgrims and then meet the Indians in the new world.  They must learn how to survive in the new world.  When they land in 1700 they learn how people lived without the modern conveniences we have today.  The best part is when they travel to 1776 to find out who made our American flag and who wrote the Declaration of Independence.

Let “How America Was Born” take you on a journey through time to learn the history of our great country.

This book is an account of the events that took place from August 28 through September 9, 2005 as my family sheltered in an apartment building during and after Hurricane Katrina. Hurricane Katrina was the largest national disaster in the history of the United States. This book explains why we did not evacuate or allow ourselves to be “rescued” from a flooded area in the lower ninth ward after the hurricane. It reveals the goodness of God in the storm. It shows how He provided for us, how we sought counsel from God instead of man, and how God proved His faithfulness.
