Poems and Stories from the Heart is a collection of poems and short stories about people the author has known in the South and just some of her own thoughts about things in general. Included are memories of forgotten times and places and people she has had the honor of knowing both in person and from afar. She has written things just to keep these peoples' memories alive and to validate those who are still living.

The Life and Death of a Gay Porn Icon . . .

Although he starred in fewer than forty adult films, Jon Vincent was one of the most popular, most recognizable, and most durable stars of the all male adult film industry. Known for his near-competitive level physique and his non-stop, erotic verbal pyrotechnics, his was a persona unlike any other in gay (or straight) porn. On screen and off, he possessed the kind of high-voltage charisma that could only be called star quality. From his first starring vehicle, Heavenly, in 1988, he was idolized and emulated as a paradigm of gay male sexual iconography. By 1990, he was earning more than a hundred thousand dollars a year, as well as a reputation for being drunk, difficult to work with, and dependent on a variety of dangerous drugs. He died ten years later, a homeless Heroin addict. He was thirty-seven years old.

A Thousand One Night Stands is Jon Vincent’s true story, the "moral inventory" of his life, conceived in the months prior to his tragic death. A fast paced, exciting read, it possesses appeal on many levels. From his aborted career as a baseball player to his days of fame as porn star, dancer, and high-priced gigolo/prostitute, A Thousand and One Night Stands is the story of a life derailed, a life begun in bright promise and ended, prematurely, in despair. A Thousand and One Night Stands also takes the reader on a harrowing journey through the seductive, glamorous world of gay porn and its seamier satellites: male strip clubs and prostitution. Lastly, in the tradition of Jerry Stahl’s Permanent Midnight and William Burroughs’ classic Junkie, A Thousand and One Night Stands chronicles one man’s struggle with Heroin addiction from the pseudo-glamour of shooting up at Hollywood penthouse drug parties to the degradation of scoring with the bums in the slums of L. A.

A Thousand and One Night Stands is an experience that will continue to affect its readers long after they have finished the book.

The Journey of The Silent Vow primarily takes an intelligent and healthy boy through the experience of a drug cult world where his physical and mental health, are taken for granted.  There was nothing wrong with the life given to this boy, yet the feelings received from the consumption of drugs and alcohol were more important than the boys own safety.  Through use and abuse, this boy forfeited his wellbeing as he subjects his life to trials and tribulations.  Violations of the established legal system brought to life correctional facilities, psychiatric institutions, and reformatory schools.  As he violated others he left passages and ways for others to violate him.  As intelligent as he was he brought all his lessons to be learned into his existence.  Although this story is told with 25 years of “Hindsight”, in those 25 years of psychological understandings lessons of how to cope and deal with life were included in every step of the story.  If we as adults could only have had the wisdom when we were experiencing our lives as children our worlds would all be different places?

Rey and Noel are happily married, and very much in love.  In this marriage nothing is out of bounds, if it makes the other happy.  Iliad is employed at the same plant as Rey, and they’ve become friends.  Because Iliad looks so much like Noel his wife, Rey secretly loves him.  As soon as Noel meets Iliad, she realizes her husband’s predicament.  No surprise to her, since she’s also fallen in love with Iliad.  Rey and Noel love each other enough that they can be truthful with one another.  She tells him that she is desperately in love with his friend, but asking her husband if he’s in love with a man, that, she’s not ready to do.  Instead she proposes a sex change with a twist.  Both men willingly accept the suggestion, because they love her that much.  Noel gets Iliad’s penis, while, Iliad becomes the complete woman that he resembles.  Then Rey can love Iliad openly, without embarrassment, and their love-triangle can progress to what they hope is, forevermore.

Doctor Daymontray (Demo) is a specialist in microsurgery, plastic surgery, and sex changes, among other specialties.  He performs the operation that forever alters Noel and Iliad.  On the way to the Doctor’s office one-day, Iliad stops at Diana’s (DI) gas station for gasoline, and runs into Cowboy (Homer).  The meeting was not a happy one for Cowboy, who likes to expose himself to the ladies, of all ages.  Iliad does not enjoy Cowboy’s antics, and squeezing his genitals, leaves him bawling on the floor in agony.   Diana hears the commotion in the men’s bathroom, when she investigates, meets Iliad, who was walking out the door, and falls in love.  But Diana is confused because Iliad, though dress like a man, was as beautiful as any woman was.

After recuperating Cowboy begins searching for Iliad to retaliate, until he finds her, and kidnaps her.  While working in her garden, Diana sees Iliad and Cowboy riding in the same car.  Knowing the history of the two, she grabs her shotgun, jumps in her car and gives chase.   She catches up with them in the middle of a fight, where Iliad is on the verge of breaking Cowboy’s neck.  Diana stops Iliad from doing so, but when Iliad turns away, Cowboy shoots her in the back.  Thinking Iliad is dead Diana kills Cowboy.  Seeing that Iliad is still alive, Diana takes her home and cares for her, until Iliad wakes up some days later with amnesia, with no memory of what happened, or who she is.  Diana has no idea who Iliad is either.  All her life she’s been afraid of falling in love, because she was born a hermaphrodite, but she loves this person.  Iliad does not remember that she used to be a man, Diana does not know that either.  Noel and Rey start searching for their missing lover.  They call Doctor Daymontray, and he puts his Posse to work on their behalf.   Meanwhile Diana begins her own search for someone who will be able to recognize Iliad and shed some light on who she is.

H. M. S. V.

Edward Willoughby, trapped by his position in Edwardian English society, is confronted by a desire that he had never imagined would become part of his life. When he and his wife are invited to the affluent Glaston Estate, he is forced to come to terms with his innermost longings that do not include his wife Margaret. Heath Radclyffe, a groundskeeper to the estate, makes this longing far more difficult than Edward is willing to admit or pursue. Finally, a path has been laid, but will Edward go with his instincts that defy every law he has been taught about this unspeakable form of love, or follow the true nature of his heart? A novel in the style of Radclyffe Hall or E. M. Foster, A Wind Across the Century is a modern adaptation of an ancient principle that rings true throughout history. All love is divine, and reflects man’s greatest challenge . . . to love freely.

Much has been written about the history of the gay rights movement and much more should and will be. But beneath the struggle for social and legal reform have been thousands of men and women trying simply to live their lives as best they can. I am one of those thousands: a lesbian living and loving during the second half of the 20th century.

Being a lesbian is only one part of my life and yet, it effects every other part. My relationships, my parenting, my social life, my career have all been different by virtue of the fact that I love another woman rather than a man.

This book is about those thousands of women whose quest for a good life is hampered - and enhanced by their love of women. It is about me. It may also be about you or someone you love.

Wandering back with me through some of the issues that defined our lives during the past twenty-five years will provide you with more understanding of these same issues as they impact lesbians today. I expect we’ll share some laughs and perhaps a few tears along the way.

The compilation of words in this book are almost undefined—some say they are poems, others see them as lyrics.  In a few instances they seem to be short stories.  No matter how you view them, they are simply words strung together.  The goal is to share a moment of time in this journey called, “life.”  Creation dates are noted because the author felt each work deserved a sort of “birthday” or historical reference.  Like an epiphany, or a word often used but never fully understood, it’s hoped that each “story” will have a different meaning to you throughout your lifetime, throughout your exploration…throughout your constant search for truth.

"Peace through Strength." - Ronald Regan www.YouTube.com/MaryBeniBestNovelist News Woman Hillary McKay is burdened with odd news tips from the party guests. These news tips appear to point towards 'an educational conspiracy.'
Hillary's memories make this novel sensational. This book is rich in incident, and short in detail.
The true subject of this spellbinding novel is Hillary's femininity. Her brains, and beauty  has made her a legend in the world government and politics.  After hearing Charles Montgomery sing If I Can Rule The World, she is lost in his love songs.
As the story rapidly unfolds the reader flys with the reporter on a rough flight to Europe.  During the flight the newscaster recalls many of the investigations which she had reported on. Hillary reports on the famous feast of Damion and Cosmo. Why doesn't she return back to New York as scheduled? Indeed, mysterious and stimulating.
The reader takes another rough flight with Detective Klein, and Officer DoLittle. There is a sequel to this novel: CONSPIRACY THEORY - MACHIAVELLI'S SHAKE DOWN.

To handsome, street-smart Arli Ramalo sex is as natural as life itself, having been imprinted on his brain since he was a one-year-old; becoming second nature to him while growing up in a New York City apartment where uninhibited sex was part of the daily routine and he was one among many participants.

At the age of 15, he is picked up in Riverside Park by a former college professor and under the professor’s tutelage Arli matures into a learned hustler adept at sexually pleasing both men and women. Now in his 20’s, Arli lives in polarized worlds. In one--his neighborhood where prostitution, drugs, murder, and bizarre sex are not uncommon--he is deviously and methodically manipulating an innocent 21-year-old introvert into whoredom. In the other--the elite world--he associates with well-to-do women and men who pay him generously for noncommittal intimate relationships.

While with a wealthy widow who is benefactress for a Greenwich Village repertory company, Arli reads a scene from the play Juan Fulano. The woman is impressed and invites him to a cast meeting to try out for the role of Juan. He accepts her invitation.

When the novel ends, the play is presented in its entirety with a story line of its own: An American youth living incognito as Juan Fulano in Mexico City is befriended by a middle-age woman who has an ulterior motive in mind. As their friendship grows, Juan--unwittingly--gives her what she wants. The repercussion forebodes disaster.
